Dr. Berrick is a board certified pediatrician and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who is dedicated to providing the best care to your family. Star and Fox Pediatrics offers a wide range of services to cater to the diverse healthcare needs of our patients. From newborn care to transitioning to adulthood and everything in between, Star and Fox Pediatrics is there to meet your needs. Our services include prenatal visits, well child and adolescent visits, sports physicals, sick visits, lactation services, vaccinations, wart treatments, stitches/suture removal, chronic care management, behavioral health services, mental health services, medical ear piercing, and more.
Star and Fox offers safe and convenient medical ear piercing done by Dr. Berrick. Dr. Berrick uses a sterile system where disposable cartridges are replaced after every piercing. Dr. Berrick uses the Inverness system.
Medical ear piercing services are not covered by insurance. The cost of medical ear piercing at Star and Fox Pediatrics is $120 (cash only) and is due in full at the time of service. This includes a set of two sterile earrings with backs, earring aftercare cleansing solution or wipes, the actual piercing, and aftercare instructions.
Your child must be at least 2 months of age and must have had their 2 month vaccinations at least 14 days prior to ear piercing. Medical ear piercing is done by appointment only (this cannot be added on to any other office visit).

Dr. Berrick is excited to offer lactation services at Star and Fox Pediatrics. As both a pediatrician and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Dr. Berrick is uniquely situated to provide a multifaceted approach to helping all mothers achieve their feeding goals. Dr. Berrick is here to support you however you choose to feed your baby and will help guide and support you whether you choose to exclusively breastfeed, formula feed, or do a combination of both.
Star and Fox Pediatrics accepts a variety of insurance plans to ensure our patients have access to quality healthcare. We accept many major private insurance plans and Masshealth (MGB ACO only)/Medicaid. Please contact our office to verify if your specific insurance plan is accepted.

Dr. Berrick believes in the life-saving power of vaccines and follows the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommended vaccination schedule. The current vaccination schedule is safe and effective with minimal side effects based on extensive research. Dr. Berrick tries to keep patients on the recommended vaccination schedule as closely as possible. Dr. Berrick is happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about individual vaccines or possible alternate vaccine schedules for your child. If you choose not to vaccinate your child, Star and Fox Pediatrics will not be the right practice for you.
